THE ÜBERSEE-CLUB
At home in the Amsinck House –
on the banks of the Inner Alster Lake
Members and guests are personally received when they enter the building, which was commissioned by the Hamburg merchant Gottlieb Jenisch in 1831 and designed by the Altona-based architect Franz Gustav Forsmann. Its exclusive flair has well withstood the test of time, regularly captivating visitors as they immerse themselves in the magnificent interior. Join us on this brief tour of the entrance hall, main hall, bar and restaurant suite on the upper floor.

ENTRANCE HALL
Welcome to the Übersee Club
Pass through the historic doorway to experience the Übersee Club entrance hall – and an initial impression of the place's grandeur and unique ambiance. Visitors are very welcome to leave a personal dedication in the club guestbook here.
MAIN HALL
A place for encounters, discussions and private moments.
The main hall of the Übersee Club – the perfect forum for both seclusion and socializing. It provides a setting for speeches from great orators that are steeped in history. Members meet their guests here for aperitifs before lunch. All of the major German newspapers are laid out here for readers. The leather armchairs encourage relaxed conversation.
As in all of the rooms, nineteenth-century oil paintings from the Jenisch Collection adorn the walls. A typical maritime scene and the two large landscapes merit particular attention.
BAR
A meeting place for both members and guests.
Wood-panelled walls join dark leather armchairs to recreate the ambiance of an English gentleman's club. People gather here before events and return to relax afterwards. Selected culinary delicacies are available on request.

CEREMONIAL HALL
The Architectural Highlight
With its ornamental stucco and finely carved door finials in the Forsmann tradition, this is the best preserved room from the structure's earliest days.
Club members and their guests attending major events enjoy stylish dinners here. Or they hold banquets – or host private and company parties in the hall.

The restaurant suite – with one of Hamburg's most impressive views
In the former salon areas, a restaurant suite was created featuring one of Hamburg's finest panoramas – directly overlooking the Inner Alster Lake. The team from the Atlantic Kempinski serves à la carte delicacies here at lunchtime.
RED SALON (right)
An intimate space for small gatherings
Far from the madding crowd, the Red Salon offers the perfect and most elegant of environments for private meetings and gatherings of up to 10 people.
THE JENISCH ROOM
An elaborately decorated room for large groups in a stylishly secluded setting
Embellished by ornate porcelain from past eras, paintings by famous artists and a splendid chandelier, the Jenisch Room is simply made for undisturbed discussions far from the hubbub of everyday life. Needless to say, with the stunning view of the Inner Alster Lake included.
